New Thermostat and Controller Software Betas

We are inviting a limited number of existing customers to help test upcoming software for the 4-inch UAC touchscreen thermostat and the separate UAC webserver controller. These programs are intended to improve everyday operation before the updates are made available more broadly.

Limited beta invitation

4-Inch Touchscreen Thermostat Beta

We have been developing a major software update for the 4-inch UAC touchscreen thermostat. The new software refreshes the interface and adds several improvements based directly on customer feedback and long-term testing.

What is included

Updated touchscreen interface
Smoother automatic fan and compressor staging
Heat Box, Water Heater and Aux Heat controls
Small, Large or Screen Off standby options
Improved firmware-update and recovery tools
Downloadable Support Log when requested by UndermountAC support
Improved stability and touchscreen compatibility

MQTT note: MQTT functionality is not included in this thermostat beta. We are working on a future beta that will restore MQTT and local network features.

Customers can return to the previous thermostat software at any time using the supplied rollback instructions.

Who can participate?

We are looking for customers who:

Have the 4-inch UAC touchscreen thermostat
Are comfortable performing a browser-based firmware update
Are willing to report unexpected behaviour or usability issues by email

Participation is optional. We recommend installing beta software when you have time to test it, rather than immediately before a trip.

Separate controller beta

UAC Webserver Controller Beta

We are also preparing updated software for customers using the separate UAC webserver controller. This is the controller that provides browser-based access to the air-conditioning system through its local Wi-Fi interface.

Improved control stability around temperature step points
Updated Heat Box and Water Heater behaviour
Browser-based control and status improvements
API and MQTT operation
Improved recovery and diagnostic reporting

This beta is intended only for customers who already have the separate UAC webserver controller and are comfortable installing test firmware and reporting results.

Webserver beta invitation

To participate, please contact us and confirm that your installation uses the separate UAC webserver controller. It is helpful to include whether you currently use MQTT, Home Assistant, Heat Box, Water Heater or Aux Heat.

Beta software may contain unexpected behaviour.
Install updates when you have time to test the system afterward.
Keep the supplied rollback or recovery instructions available.
Technical support for beta software is provided by email.
Please do not redistribute beta firmware.

Availability is limited and participation may be closed once we have enough active testers.
